Samsung Galaxy Wide 5 has been launched in South Korea. It was unveiled in partnership with SK Telecom and is exclusively available on the carrier’s site. This new Samsung smartphone packs the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC and comes with a FHD+ display, triple-rear cameras, and a 5,000mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy Wide 5 Price, Availability
The Samsung Galaxy Wide 5 price starts at KRW 4,49,900 (around Rs 28,200) for the sole 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The phone is offered in Black, White, and Blue colour options. It is up for sale on SK Telecom site.
The Galaxy Wide 5 is listed on SK Telecom with the model number SM-E426S. This is a similar model number to one (SM-E426B) that has been reported to be attached to the upcoming Galaxy F42 5G. The support page of the SM-E426B model has gone live in India suggesting that the Galaxy Wide 5 may launch in the India as the Galaxy F42 5G. Samsung has not shared any details on the launch of the Galaxy Wide 5 in international markets.
Samsung Galaxy Wide 5 specifications
The dual-SIM Samsung Galaxy Wide 5 runs on Android 11. It features a 6.6-inch FHD+ Infinity-V display. Under the hood, it packs an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card slot.
As for optics, the Samsung Galaxy Wide 5 carries triple rear cameras, housed in a square shaped camera module, that includes a 64MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture, a 5MP secondary camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP tertiary sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, the phone has an 8MP selfie camera at the front.
The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Lastly, it measures 76.4 x 167.2 x 9mm and weighs 203 grams.
