Samsung Galaxy A72 soon launching in India: Price, Specifications

Samsung Galaxy A72 is said to be launching in India in March 2021. This smartphone was spotted on Thailand’s NBTC certification site, suggesting that the Galaxy A72 may launch in the region as well. The Galaxy A72 is rumoured to come in both 4G and 5G models, and some other details about both the models have already been revealed.

The 4G variant is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 720G SoC and may feature a quad camera setup at the back. Pricebaba has spotted this smartphone on the NBTC certification site with the model number SM-A725F/DS. This listing does not give any other details apart from its possible launch in the Thailand market in the future.

According to an earlier report, the Samsung Galaxy A72 could launch in India sometime in March along with Samsung Galaxy A52.

Talking about pricing, has suggested that the 4G variant of Samsung Galaxy A72 will be priced at at EUR 449 (around Rs 39,600). This price could be for the base 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model could carry a higher price tag.

Previous leaks suggest that the Samsung Galaxy A72 4G variant will come with an 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with 90Hz refresh rate and 20:9 aspect ratio. It is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot. It may run Android 11 out of the box with OneUI on top.

The Galaxy A72 4G may feature a quad rear camera setup that include a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. It is tipped to get a 32MP front facing camera.

The phone may come with a 5,000mAh battery, 25W gast charging and is expected to have an in-display fingerprint scanner. This smartphone can also be IP67 cretified. The phone is expected to feature a range of connectivity options including a USB Type-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
