Samsung Galaxy A21 Simple has launched in Japan. The smartphone is powered by an Exynos SoC and comes with a notch display, and a 3,600mAh battery. The specifications of this handset are quite different from that of Galaxy A21 that debuted globally in April 2020. The phone comes in a single RAM + storage configurations and two colour options.

Samsung Galaxy A21 Simple price starts at JPY 22,000 (around Rs 14,700) for the lone 3GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. The smartphone is offered in Black and White colour options. It will go on sale in Japan starting September 9.
As of now, Samsung hasn’t shared any details regarding the international availability of the Galaxy A21 Simple.

Samsung Galaxy A21 Simple runs on Android 11. It features a 5.8-inch HD+ (720 x 1,560 pixels) TFT display. Under the hood, the phone packs an octa-core Exynos 7884B SoC, paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that is expandable upto 1TB via a microSD card.
As for optics, the smartphone comes with a single 13MP sensor at the back. For selfies and video calls, it has a 5MP selfie camera housed in a notch. The Galaxy A21 Simple is backed by a 3,600mAh battery, which is said to deliver a standby time of about 560 hours. There is no mention of fast charging.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors onboard include accelerometer, ambient light, and proximity sensor. There is no fingerprint sensor but the phone has face unlock feature. It has a water resistant build as well. Lastly, it measures 150 x 71 x 8.4mm and weighs 159 grams.
