Samsung Galaxy A12 has launched in India as a tweaked version of the smartphone with the same name that launched in the country in February. The only difference between the two is the chipset. Samsung has used its own Exynos mobile SoC in the new model. The phone comes with a quad rear cameras and a notch display.

Samsung Galaxy A12 price in India starts at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 16,499. It comes in Black, Blue, and White colour options and is available for purchase from the Samsung Indian website.
The original Samsung Galaxy A12 with MediaTek Helio P35 SoC debuted in India in February this year at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB variant and Rs 14,999 for the 4GB + 128GB variant. The old variant is also offered in the same three colours.

The Samsung Galaxy A12 runs on Android 11-based One UI Core on top. It features a 6.5-inch HD+ (720 x 1,600 pixels) TFT display with 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the phone is powered by an octa-core Exynos 850 SoC, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage that is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card.
As for optics, the phone carries a quad rear camera setup that includes a 48MP primary sensor with an f/2.0 aperture, a 5MP ultra-wide shooter, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies and video chats, the Galaxy A12 comes with an 8MP selfie camera at the front with an f/2.2 aperture.
Samsung Galaxy A12 packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging. It also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Sensors onboard include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS / A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Lastly, the phone measures 164 x 75.8 x 8.9mm and weighs 205 grams.
