Samsung Galaxy A01 gets Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update

Samsung has started rolling out Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update to their entry level smartphone – Galaxy A01. This new software update also brings the latest security patch to this phone, which was originally launched in late 2019 with Android 10 and One UI 2.0 on top.

Samsung has rolled out the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update to Samsung Galaxy A01 (SM-A015F) in Russia. This update carries firmware version A015FXXU4BUD8, with April 2021 security patch, that increases the security of the smartphone.

The new software update brings features such as refreshed UI design, one-time permissions, chat bubbles, conversation section in the notifications area, privacy and security improvements, and a dynamic media player widget in the notification area.

One UI 3.0 features include a refreshed UI design, along with slightly newer icons, improved versions of stock apps, improved Samsung Keyboard and Samsung Internet, more lock screen widgets, more Dynamic Lockscreen options, better smart home controls, redesigned Device Care section, and more Digital Wellbeing and Parental Control options.

If you are Samsung Galaxy A01 user in Russia, your phone may have already received a notification about this new software update. If you haven’t received notification yet, you can manually check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install on your device.
