Redmi Note 9T and Redmi 9T smartphones have been launched globally as latest Redmi-series phones by Xiaomi. The Redmi Note 9T is a slightly tweaked version of Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi 9T is a rebranded Redmi Note 9 4G that was launched in China in November 2020, and debuted in India as Redmi 9 Power last month, with very few changes
Both of these Redmi phones come with a gradient back that offer multiple color shades. Redmi Note 9T offers a triple rear camera setup, while Redmi 9T features a quad rear camera setup.
Redmi Note 9T, Redmi 9T price
Redmi Note 9T price starts at EUR 229 (around Rs 20,500) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, while the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage option carries a price tag of EUR 269 (around Rs 24,100). Both of these versions will be available in Daybreak Purple and Nightfall Black colour options for purchase in Europe, starting 11th January.
As an introductory offer, Xiaomi is initially bringing Redmi Note 9T at EUR 199 (around Rs 17,900) and EUR 249 (around Rs 22,400) for the 64GB and 128GB storage variants, respectively.
Redmi 9T, on the other hand, comes at EUR 159 (around Rs 14,300) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, EUR 189 (around Rs 17,000) for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage model, and EUR 199 (around Rs 17,900) for the 6GB + 128GB storage option. This phone comes in Carbon Gray, Twilight Blue, Sunrise Orange and Ocean Green color options.
Redmi Note 9 4G / Redmi 9T debuted last month in India as Redmi 9 Power at an initial price of CNY 999 (around Rs 11,300) for the 4GB + 128GB storage variant. This model carried a price tag of Rs 10,999.
Redmi Note 9T specifications
The Redmi Note 9T runs on Android 10 with MIUI 12 on top. It offers a 6.53-inch FHD+ (1080 × 2340) display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a hole-punch cut-out design. The Note 9T packs a 5,000 mAh battery that also supports 18W fast charging. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor as well.
This smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM as standard. Xiaomi has provided 64GB and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage options on Redmi Note 9T that are expandable upto 256GB via microSD card.
There is a triple camera setup at the back of Redmi Note 9T that houses a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture, a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP macro shooter. For selfies and video calls, the phone has a 13MP camera at the front, with an f/2.25 aperture on top.
Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Infrared (IR) blaster, NFC, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone measures 161.96 × 77.25 × 9.05mm and weighs 199 grams.

The Redmi 9T runs on Android 10 based MIUI 12. It features a 6.53-inch FHD+ (1080 × 2340) display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a waterdrop-style notch. Under the hood, the phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC, coupled with 4GB and 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM.
Redmi 9T comes with a quad camera setup at the back that includes a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture, an 8MP secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 aperture, a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP macro shooter. There is also an 8MP selfie shooter at the front, with an f/2.05 aperture on top.
On the storage part, Redmi 9T has 64GB of UFS 2.1 and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage that supports expansion upto 512GB via microSD card through a dedicated slot.
Redmi 9T comes with a 6,000 mAh battery that also supports 18W fast charging and reverse wired charging. The phone also comes with Hi-Res Audio certification. There is also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, FM radio, IR blaster, NFC, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 162.3 × 77.3 × 9.6mm and weighs 198 grams.
