Redmi 10 has launched in Malaysia following numerous teasers in the past week. The smartphone comes with a quad rear camera setup with 50MP primary sensor, a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate, and a 5,000mAh battery. Redmi 10 is powered by MediaTek Helio G88 SoC and comes in three RAM + storage configurations.
Xiaomi announced the Redmi 10 via a post on its official blog. The blog post doesn’t mention where the new smartphone will be available. However, a tweet by Xiaomi Malaysia states that it will be launched in Malaysia in two configurations. There is no information regarding the India launch of this phone.
Redmi 10 price, availability
Redmi 10 is priced at:
- $179 (around Rs 13,300) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant.
- $199 (around Rs 14,800) for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.
- $219 (around Rs 16,300) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.
Redmi 10 is offered in Carbon Grey, Pebble White, and Sea Blue colour options. Launch markets have not been detailed on the blog post, but an August 20 availability was mentioned.
Malaysia may be among the launch markets, with the Redmi’s Twitter handle for the region sharing the same availability. Its price in Malaysia starts at MYR 649 (Rs 11,400) for the 4GB + 64GB storage variant, and MYR 749 (Rs 13,100) for the 6GB + 128GB storage variant.

Redmi 10 runs on Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 on top. It features a 6.5-inch FHD+ (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) AdaptiveSync display with 90Hz refresh rate. Its display supports Reading Mode 3.0 and Sunlight display. Under the hood, the phone packs an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 SoC, coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.
As for optics, the Redmi 10 carries a quad rear camera setup, that includes a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro lens and 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video chats, it has an 8MP camera sensor at the front.
Redmi 10 is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. However, Xiaomi will bundle a 22.5W fast charger in the box. The smartphone also supports 9W reverse wired charging.
The phone also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and AI face unlock feature. As for dimensions of the phone, it measures 161.95 x 75.53 x 8.92mm and weighs 181 grams.
Xiaomi is yet to reveal the full specifications of this smartphone but the released specifications match the specifications on the accidentally released blog post from last week.
