Realme has announced the launch date of Realme GT Neo. Xu Qi Chase, the Vice President of Realme and President of Global Marketing, has confirmed that the launch event will take place on 31st March. While the phone hasn’t leaked much, the executive has teased the processor inside this phone. The Realme GT Neo is teased to be powered by the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset.
The Realme GT Neo is launching in China on 31st March. The launch poster doesn’t reveal the design or any other detail of the phone, but confirms that the launch event will begin at 2.30 PM CST (12 PM noon IST).
Realme GT Neo will come with slightly different specifications than the Realme GT 5G, which is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. The phone may pack a 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging and is tipped to offer 360Hz touch sampling rate.

The MediaTek Dimensity 1200 flagship chipset was announced in January 2021, and Realme will be one of the first companies to use it in mobile phones. The Dimensity 1200 is an octa-core chipset that comes with three ARM Cortex-A78 super cores that can clock up to 2.6GHz and four Arm Cortex-A55 efficiency cores that can be clocked at up to 2GHz.
This chipset supports a maximum of 16GB LDDR4x RAM, as well as UFS 3.1 storage. The SoC can deliver upto 168Hz refresh rate and support a maximum resolution of 2,520 × 1,080 pixels. The Dimensity 1200 5G SoC supports a single 200MP camera sensor or two sensors up to 32MP + 16MP.
