OnePlus Nord 2 renders have surfaced online, showing the smartphone with triple rear cameras and a hole-punch cutout display. The renders havs been shared by tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer aka @OnLeaks, who also also revealed some key specifications of this upcoming OnePlus smartphone earlier this year. The phone is expected to debut in July with MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, and an hole-punch cutout AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate.
As per the renders shared by the Hemmerstoffer on Twitter, in association with 91Mobiles, the OnePlus Nord 2 will come with a hole-punch cutout for the selfie snapper on the top left corner. The phone is seen with narrow bezels on three sides and a thin chin. The volume rocker is placed on the left edge of the phone, and the power button as well as the alert slider is placed on the right edge.
OnePlus Nord 2 is said to have a triple rear camera setup, and an LED flash, housed in a rectangular camera module on the top left corner on the back. Other noticeable things in the images shared include a a speaker grille at the bottom, SIM tray, and a USB Type-C port. The phone is said to measure 160 x 73.8 x 8.1 mm.
OnePlus Nord 2 specifications (expected)
OnePlus Nord 2 is expected to run on Android 11-based OxygenOS, and may feature a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone may be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. A recent AI Benchmark listing also suggested that the rumoured phone will come with 8GB of RAM.
As for optics, the OnePlus Nord 2 may come with a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP sensor, and a 2MP sensor. The smartphone is expected to sport a 32MP selfie camera, a 4,500mAh battery, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
