Oneplus announces the Oneplus 8T Launch date along with some specifications

OnePlus officially announces the OnePlus 8T launch date which is October 14, 2020, 7:30 PM IST. This is just after the iPhone 12 series launch event which is likely kicking off on 12th. So we are two main launches happening and I’m excited for both.

OnePlus already listed the 8T with some giveaway contests on Amazon and this also gave us confirmation on some main specifications. The 120Hz fluid displays is confirmed. Last year they used 90Hz on the 7T which works really fine and amazing so 120Hz is gonna be buttery smooth.

With these display specifications, Oneplus is going one on against Galaxy S20 FE. However the S20 FE got some really thick bezels, so the 8T wins in design language and the flat display is okay.

The back design with the rectangular camera module looks not bad. Some teasers on chinese social media website Weibo also hints on faster charging which we all know is 65W super warp.

Right now 30W brick charges OnePlus 8 in 1 hour 15 minutes, so 65W does not mean it will take less than half time. You can expect the Oneplus 8T from 0 to 100 in 30-40 minutes which is also amazing. We still have no confirmation of it is coming with 865 CPU or 865+ but it is gonna be grate.

We finally have the price leak for the Oneplus 8T thanks to a reliable leaker, he said that 8 + 128 GB model is coming for €799 which is not bad and the 12 + 256 GB variant is coming at €899. The Oneplus 8 starts €699 and the 8 Pro starts €899.

So €799 is a fine price for the specifications you are getting. You can expect a similar pricing for india. In the US its price can be between the Oneplus 7 and 8 Pro. Surprisingly, in comparison the pricing of Galaxy S20 FE will be €699 for Exynos variant and €799 for the 865 CPU.

So two phones different brands at a similar price, Galaxy S20 FE vs Oneplus 8T. The S20 FE got some pros like IP68, wireless charging, samsung super amoled display and of course flagship level camera.

The 8T on the other hand gets a really good design, 65W fast charging and Oxygen OS which might be good for long run but I would say both these looks an amazing deal.

So all in all which one would you choose? Let me know your thoughts in the comments section.
