OnePlus 8T renders has been out by Onleaks and Pricebaba and from these renders, we will get to know the design of the Oneplus 8T. So lets take a closer look at the design and some expected specifications of OnePlus 8T.
- OnePlus 8T renders: Display
We may not get any new design on the front, it is the same old design what we’re seeing in pretty much every android phone. You are getting a cutout selfie camera in the top left, just like the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 pro.
When it comes to the screen of Oneplus 8T, it’s totally flat and has no curves. According OnLeaks, this device will come with 120Hz.
Oneplus may be using a rigid OLED screen here rigid OLEDs are cheaper than flexible OLEDs. Flexible OLEDs can be bent around to produce a smaller bottom bezel while rigid OLEDs can’t, so the bottom bezel is a little bit bigger.
- Design and Build
Coming to the back, we have a camera bump like the Note 20 Ultra. This camera bump is quite lagrge and it holds a quad camera system. You have the power button on the right hand side, volume rockers on the left hand side and then you have the alert slider above the power button.
Alert slider is a great hardware feature and I love that Oneplus sticks with that. On the bottom of Oneplus 8T we have USB-C port and bottom firing speaker.
Looking at these renders it looks like that bottom bezel is just a little bit larger than the top bezel, it’s really hard to tell with renders because they are going to be different to the final product in terms of the dimensions.
- OnePlus 8T renders: Chipset
When it comes to the chipset being used, we had heard that it was the Snapdragon 865+. But according to the recent leaks, we are not getting the 865+ which means we still have the same chipset which Oneplus is using on Oneplus 8 and 8 Pro (SD 865).
- Battery and charging
The battery charging specs are really interesting because if you’re a Oneplus fan, you’ll know that the registration of a 65W charging brick is under the Oneplus.
According to the leaks, we might get this 65W charging in the Oneplus 8T which is insane, we can also get a 4,500 mAh battery which sounds good.
OnePlus 8T will come with a quad rear camera setup with 48 MP primary camera, a 16 MP ultra-wide lens, a 5 MP macro shooter and a 2 MP portrait sensor. On the front, the OnePlus 8T may feature a 32 MP camera.
OnePlus 8T may also come with the support of 8K, 960 fps video recording feature. XDA found some references to it in some OxygenOS 11 code and this is just insane.
- OnePlus 8T Price
The price of Oneplus 8 is going to be different depending on what country you’re in. But its price is expected to be cheaper in China and India, more expensive in the US and Europe.
I would not expect this phone to be more expensive than the OnePlus 8 if it comes with the same hardware. If we believe all of the hardware leaks which seem to be almost confirmed, we can be pretty sure that this will have Snapdragon 865.
Let me know all of your thoughts on the OnePlus 8T. Is it a better option than the OnePlus 8? would you actually rather go for this one or the OnePlus 8?
