Reliance Jio has launched JioPages which is a Made-in-India web browser based on Chromium Blink. This browser supports 8 Indian languages, encrypted connections feature and this is now available for download on Google Play Store.
Most important thing in a browser is security which is really good in JioPages. Google Play listings provide information on other features, such as smart download managers, news in various Indian languages, private browsing and theme support.
JioPages Web Browser Features
This Made-in-India browser comes with pin-lock incognito mode and has an in-built AdBlocker. JioPages supports 8 Indian languages: Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi and Bengali.
According to the RelianceJio, the browser is based on Chromium Blink and designed to deliver a great browsing experience through fast engine migration, good webpage rendering, fast page loading, efficient media streaming and encrypted connections.
Jio also announced that JioPages is built entirely in India, though its root blink rendering engine is certainly built with contributions from Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Samsung, Adobe Systems, Intel, IBM and other companies.
Users have control to set a default search engine and options other than Google include Bing, Yahoo and Duck Duck Go. JioPages also featurea an in-built Dark Mode theme. It also offers a browser feed, which will be shown according to the language set by the users, as well as content based on the topics they choose.
The download manager organizes the downloaded content according to the file type, so that users can easily search for their downloaded photos, videos, documents. The PIN feature is available in private mode, which can be used as an access code as soon as you enter this mode.
According to a screenshot, the browser comes with AdBlock Plus, which blocks Ads and allows users to whitelist domains. The size of JioPages browser is around 54MB and you can download it from Google Play Store.
