Asus ZenFone 8 Price and Specifications

Asus ZenFone 8 has been launched alongside the Asus ZenFone 8 Flip. This new ZenFone smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. It also features a dual rear camera setup and an AMOLED hole-punch display. Here are its full specifications and pricing details.

Asus ZenFone 8 is priced at EUR 599 (around Rs. 53,200) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced at EUR 669 (around Rs 59,400), and its 16GB RAM + 256GB storage option costs EUR 799 (around Rs 71,000).

The base variant of the ZenFone 8 is available for purchase in Europe and Taiwan in Obsidian Black colour, while its Moonlight White and Horizon Silver colour options and other variants are available for pre-orders at this moment. Details about its pricing and availability in other markets are yet to be revealed.

The Asus ZenFone 8 runs on Android 11-based ZenUI 8. It features a 5.9-inch FHD+ (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) Samsung AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio and 1,100 nits of peak brightness. The display is HDR10 / HDR10+ certified and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

Under the hood, the handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone is IP68-certified water and dust resistant.

As for optics, it comes with a dual rear camera setup that comprises a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, and a 12MP Sony IMX363 ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. For selfies and video calls, the Asus ZenFone 8 features a 12MP Sony IMX663 camera sensor with dual phase-detection autofocus lens.

The phone is backed by a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0 support and Power Delivery standards. Asus has provided a 30W USB power adapter in the box. Connectivity options onboard include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6/ 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS / A-GPS / NavIC, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Sensors on this smartphone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. It also has an in-display fingerprint scanner. Lastly, it measures 148 x 68.5 x 8.9mm and weighs 169 grams.

Asus has provided triple microphones with OZO Audio Zoom and its in-house Noise Reduction technologies that both are aimed to enhance audio recording on the ZenFone 8. There are also dual stereo speakers with Dirac HD Sound.
