Asus ROG Phone 5 has been spotted on Geekbench benchmarking website with 18GB of RAM. This listing also shows that the phone will run on Android 11 out of the box with Zen UI on top. The ROG Phone 5, which is going to be a successors of RoG Phone 3, is likely to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC.
Asus has already announced that their next model of gaming phone will launch on March 10 at 7PM local time (4:30pm IST) in Taipei, Taiwan. A landing page has already gone live on the official website, however, it does not share any details aboutp the phone.
The Geekbench listing shows a handset with ASUS_I005DB model number, that may belong to Asus ROG Phone 5. The handset scores 1,113 points in single-core test, and 3,468 points in the multi-core test. The smartphone runs on Android 11 with up to 18GB of RAM. The phone has an octa-core 1.8Ghz SoC, that is likely the Snapdragon 888 5G SoC.
This is not the first time that a smartphone has been seen on Geekbench. Previously, a handset with model number ASUS_I005DA and 16GB RAM was benchmarked. It is possible that these different model numbers may belong to different RAM and storage variants of the Asus ROG Phone 5.
ROG Phone 5 smartphone is expected to feature a 6.78-inch HDR10+ 144Hz refresh rate display and a 6,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. The phone come with a triple rear camera setup with a 64MP main sensor.
According to previous reports, the phone may have a dot Matrix panel on the back with a lit-up ROG logo and it measures 172.83 × 77.2 × 10.2mm.
